Hemisqualane is a light, fast-absorbing emollient that is great for skin and hair care products. It is similar to squalane, but has a lower molecular weight, making it light and non-greasy. Hemisqualane is also sustainable and naturally-derived, making it an ideal alternative to cyclomethicone in hair care products.
Hemisqualane is a light emollient produced from plant sugars. Although oil-like, it is fast absorbing and is a great emollient and conditioner in skin and hair care formulations. It moisturises well, but without the heaviness and greasiness that plant oils can bring.
Hemisqualane is similar to squalane but has a lower molecular weight, which makes it light and non-greasy.
